Softball Team Wins Game Three Of Series Against Mary Hardin-Baylor

Clarksville, Ark.-Sophomore pitcher Abby Mork had another efficient outing and Hannah Oler tripled in three runs to lead Ozarks to a 7-3 win against Mary Hardin-Baylor Friday afternoon in conference action.

Mork tossed a complete game and struck out six for her fifth win of the season. Mork got help from centerfielder Haleigh Moore when she made a spectacular diving catch to rob a hit and end a Crusader scoring threat in the first inning. Mork kept the Crusaders (9-15, 8-13 ASC) off the board until the fourth when it scored twice to move ahead 2-1. But Ozarks (7-15, 7-11 ASC) scored five times in the bottom of the fourth fueled by Oler's triple. Moore started the scoring for Ozarks when she doubled in Peyton Winkfein to even the game 2-2. Hailey Ostrander then scored on an infield error to give Ozarks the go-ahead run. With Laken Gray, Krysten Shavers and Moore on base, Oler ripped a shot down the right field line just out of reach of Crusader right fielder Kourtney Cummings to clear the bases. Ozarks added another run in the sixth on Beth Massey's ground out RBI.

Oler finished 3-for-4 with three RBI to pace Ozarks at the plate.

Mork (5-9) issued just one walk over seven innings.

Ozarks will travel to Marshall, Texas, to face East Texas Baptist University April 1-2.
