U of O Student-Athletes Celebrate NCAA III Week Assisting Local Students

Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks' student-athletes celebrated NCAA Division III Week by hosting students from Clarksville's self-contained classrooms for a day of fun Friday.

Student-athletes participated in kickball, soccer and baseball games with the local students. A craft table was also set up for the students. Following the games, the visiting students ate lunch on campus and took a group picture with the softball team's from Ozarks and Texas-Tyler.

Each local student received a NCAA III Week tee-shirt and a gift bag from U of O. The event was organized by Ozarks' Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), Athletic Office Manager Lisa Thomas and professor Amy Oatis.

NCAA Division III Week is a positive opportunity for all individuals associated with a Division III institution to observe and celebrate the impact athletics and student-athletes have on campus and in the surrounding community.
