Texas-Tyler Uses Seven Run Fourth To Complete Softball Sweep

Clarksville, Ark.-Nationally-ranked Texas-Tyler broke open a close game by plating seven runs in the fourth to secure a 9-0 win Saturday over Ozarks and complete a three-game American Southwest Conference sweep.
    
No. 1 Texas-Tyler (31-2, 23-0 ASC) led 2-0 after three complete innings before producing seven runs in the top of the fourth. The Patriots recorded five of their seven hits on the day in the fourth as well as scoring four runs with two outs in the same frame. Ozarks (7-21, 7-17 ASC) loaded the bases in the bottom half of the inning, but came up empty.  

The Eagles recorded six hits in the contest, all coming from different players. Peyton Winkfein (0-3) started and received the loss.

Ozarks will travel to Richardson, Texas, to face Texas Dallas April 15-16.
