Clinton, Miss.-Belhaven University broke a 1-1 tie with a two-run third inning and never let go of its lead to earn a 5-1 win Saturday over the University of the Ozarks in American Southwest Conference play.

In the second, Hailey Ostrander singled in Krysten Shavers to even the score 1-1. But that would be the only runs the Eagles (3-12, 3-12 ASC) could produce. Belhaven (7-11, 5-10 ASC) added a run in the fourth to increase its advantage to 4-1.

Ozarks will begin its seven-game homestand next week with Blackburn College March 14.
