Belton, Texas-The Mary Hardin-Baylor softball team posted a 5-0 shutout in game one and then took an 8-0 win in game two against the Eagles Friday in its American Southwest Conference series.
In game one, the Crusaders (16-11, 11-9 ASC) scored twice in the first inning on two hits and then added two more in the third inning on three hits. Facing a 4-0 deficit, Ozarks (6-18, 4-16 ASC) loaded the bases in the top of the fourth, but couldn't plate any runs.
The Eagles collected four hits in the contest. Hannah Oler (3-10) was charged with the loss.
The Eagles' offense had trouble in game two generating any offense as Mary Hardin-Baylor recorded its second shutout.
The series will conclude with game three tomorrow at 12:00 p.m.
