Kyle Doelling Named Assistant Softball Coach

Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks has announced Kyle Doelling as the new assistant softball coach, it was released Monday (December 30) by Athletics Director Jimmy Clark.  

The Valparaiso, Indiana, native starred at Ohio Valley University (OHV) in Vienna, West Virginia, and then served as a student assistant and later as a graduate assistant coach with the NCAA Division II program. Doelling was the starting shortstop in each of her four seasons at OVU. 

"I am very excited for Coach Doelling to join our program," said head coach Denise Godwin.  "Her excitement and passion for coaching is something that will be felt immediately. She will bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the program, and I am thrilled to have her be a part of the Eagle Softball family."    

Her senior season, she hit .353 with a team-high 11 doubles and 20 RBI. She hit .302 with 15 doubles and 22 RBI her junior season. During her time as a graduate assistant, Doelling was the hitting coach and middle infield coach. Additionally, she worked as an administrative assistant in the athletic offices during her time as a graduate assistant. Doelling also lettered in soccer two seasons at OVU, helping the program to a conference championship. 

She earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from OVU and is currently pursuing her master's degree in instruction and curriculum.
