Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks softball team will not play their road series against UT Dallas this weekend due to COVID-19-related concerns.

It was announced that a mutual decision was made to cancel the series. The games will not be rescheduled.

Statements from Head Coach Denise Godwin and Athletic Director Jimmy Clark regarding the cancelation of the games due to COVID-19-related issues. 

Head Coach Denise Godwin:
"We are obviously disappointed we cannot play the series. Our student-athletes have worked hard and looked forward to playing. As bad as we all want to play, it is the best decision not to."

Athletic Director Jimmy Clark:
"While we share the disappointment of everyone involved, the safety as well as the physical and mental well-being of our student-athletes, coaches, staff and the opposing team is our top priority."
