Seven Softball Players Garner All-Conference Honors

Senior third baseman Riki Haase was named to the All-ASC Third Team. Junior catcher Sierra Jasna, freshman first baseball Blaise English, freshman shortstop Reese Ramirez, senior outfielder Megan Madden, freshman outfielder Rayli Ruby and freshman designated player Allyson Fultz made the All-ASC Honorable Mention Team.

 Clarksville, Ark.- Seven University of the Ozarks softball players were honored with All-Conference awards from the American Southwest Conference, it was announced today.
     
Senior third baseman Riki Haase was named to the All-ASC Third Team. Junior catcher Sierra Jasna, freshman first baseball Blaise English, freshman shortstop Reese Ramirez, senior outfielder Megan Madden, freshman outfielder Rayli Ruby and freshman designated player Allyson Fultz made the All-ASC Honorable Mention Team.

Haase, a left-handed hitter from Argyle, Texas, led the team in nearly every offensive category including batting (.384), hits (28), doubles (8), runs (13), triples (2), total bases (43) and walks (7). Haase tied for the team lead in slugging percentage (.589). She hit one home run and drove in ten runs in 28 games. Haase had eight multiple-hit games during the season and went 4-for-4 against University of Dallas. She had a pair of doubles in game two against Dallas. She hit safely in 14 games. 

Jasna, from Sallisaw, Okla., played in 25 games and hit .241 with 14 hits and eight RBI. Jasna collected six hits in the Eagles series against Mary Hardin-Baylor. She went 4-for-4 against University of Dallas.

English, from Clarksville, played in 28 games and hit .209 with nine RBI. English led the team with three home runs. She posted a .993 fielding percentage and recorded 25 total bases. She blasted home runs in back-to-back conference weekends. She homered and drove in three runs against Central Baptist.

Ramirez, from Cedar Park, Texas, started in 26 games and recorded 47 putouts and 32 assists. She had 13 hits on the season. She had a two-hit game against Howard Payne.

Madden, from Flower Mound, Texas, started in 28 games and hit .282 with a pair of doubles and six runs. Madden was among the top defensive players in the conference owning a 1.000 fielding percentage. She had 20 hits on the season and had three two-hit games. She recorded three two-hit games.

Ruby, from Granbury, Texas, played in 28 games and had 25 starts. She had 15 hits, drove in five runs and scored 12 times. She had two hits against four different opponents. She scored three runs against Central Baptist.

Fultz, from Rogers, produced at the plate and in the circle. She hit .321, drove in a team-high 12 runs and tied for the team-lead in home runs with three. She also tied for the team-lead in slugging percentage (.589). Fultz recorded five doubles, 18 hits and 33 total bases. Against Howard Payne, Fultz went 4-for-4, and drove in three runs against central Baptist and East Texas Baptist. In the circle, Fultz tossed 61.0 innings and struck out 15. She owned two wins and threw three complete games. In a win against Central Baptist, Fultz tossed a complete game. She fanned five against Louisiana College. She did not issue a walk in five outings.
