Riki Haase Named To Academic All-District Team

University of the Ozarks softball standout Riki Haase was named to the 2021 Academic All-District® Softball Team.

Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks softball standout Riki Haase was named to the 2021 Academic All-District® Softball Team, it was announced recently by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Haase, a senior infielder from Argyle, Texas, was named to the All-American Southwest Conference (ASC) Third Team and earned the university's ASC Female Scholar-Athlete Medal of Honor following the season. The left-handed hitter posted an impressive offensive season for the Eagles leading the team in batting (.384), doubles (8), triples (2), runs (13), slugging percentage (.589), hits (28) and total bases (43). Haase had eight multiple-hit games and hit safely in 14 games. She was a three-time member of the ASC All-Academic Team. Additionally, she was a member of the NFCA/Easton All-American Scholar-Athlete Team. At Ozarks, she owns the eighth highest batting average in a single season. 

A major political science and philosophy major, Haase has been on the Dean's List during her career at Ozarks. She will attend Baylor University Law School.

The 2021 Academic All-District Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) for their career.
