NFCA Honors Softball Players 

ThE NFCA announced nine players on the Academic Team.

Clarksville, Ark.-Ten University of the Ozarks softball players received honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association for their academic performance, it was announced by the association this week.
     
The organization announced its 2020-2021 collegiate NFCA/Easton All-American Scholar-Athlete honors. To receive the All-American honors, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.50 grade point average from the previous academic year. 

The list of individual award winners includes Aryonnah Briggs, a psychology and business administration major from Bryant; Blaise English, an undeclared major from Clarksville; Riki Haase, a political science and philosophy major from Argyle, Texas; Sierra Jasna, a biology  major from Sallisaw, Okla.; Victoria Lopez, a biology and psychology major from Comanche, Texas; Megan Madden, an accounting and business administration major from Flower Mound, Texas; Macy Pelts, a biology major from Lamar; Reese Ramirez, a biology major from Cedar Park; Rayli Ruby, a biology major from Granbury; and Codi Shannon, an accounting major from Ozark.

NCAA Division III led the way with 2,375 student-athletes earning a 3.5 grade-point average or higher for 2020-21

The team grade point average was 3.32. The Eagles had 15 players on the American Southwest Conference Academic All-Conference Team in the spring.
