Clarksville, Ark.- University of the Ozarks junior softball player Hayley Rivett was named American Southwest Conference Hitter of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

Rivett, a native of Berryville, Ark., went 10-for-14 (.714) with three home runs and 10 RBI to open the season for the Eagles. In the season-opener against Austin College, Rivett drove in six runs, powered two home runs and finished a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate. She owned a 1.500 slugging percentage and scored eight runs over the four games. The 5-foot-7 infielder totaled 21 bases.

The Eagles will travel to Illinois this weekend for four games.
