NFCA Honors Nine Softball Players 

ThE NFCA announced nine players on the Academic Team.

Clarksville, Ark.-The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) honored nine University of the Ozarks softball players with the 2022-2023 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete award, it was announced by the association recently.     
     
To receive the Scholar-Athlete All-American honors, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.50 grade point average from the previous academic year. 
     
The list of individual award winners on the Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete Team included Allison Cowart, a junior physical education major from Bentonville; Allyson Fultz, a junior biology/political science major from Rogers; Morgan Haupt, a sophomore health science major from Derby, Kansas; Mackenzie Lucio, a sophomore health science major from Bedford, Texas; Olivia Reed, a junior physical education major from Wentzville, Mo.; Hayley Rivett, a junior physical education major from Berryville; Jessye Rowland, a sophomore physical education major from Bonnerdale; Rayli Ruby, a junior biology major from Granbury, Texas; and Sarah Todd, a senior English major from Mayflower.
     
Under head coach Denise Godwin, the Eagles had 13 players on the American Southwest Conference Academic All-Conference Team in the spring. Four players earned a spot on the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
