Clarksville, Ark.-Louisiana College built a 50-25 halftime lead in a fast-paced game to earn a 81-64 win over the Lady Eagles in American Southwest Conference play Thursday.
Ozarks (3-10, 2-8 ASC), however, outscored the Lady Wildcats (10-3, 8-2 ASC) in the second half 39-31, but couldn't overcome a sluggish first half. Taylor Farmer paced Ozarks with 26 points on 11-of-12 shooting from the field in the contest.
In the first half, Ozarks trailed 40-15 at the 5:01 mark, but fought back in the second half to pull within 62-40 with 13:59 remaining. The Lady Eagles then got within 77-62, but couldn't get any closer.
Kindra Davis had 11 points and Jordana Andrews recorded eight assists.
Ozarks will host Mississippi College Saturday at 1:00 pm and Texas-Dallas on Monday at 1:00 pm.
