Lady Eagles Suffer Loss In Louisiana

Clarksville, Ark.-The women's basketball team suffered a 95-69 setback against Louisiana College in American Southwest Conference play Saturday.

Despite the loss, Ozarks (10-15, 9-13 ASC) will head to the ASC Championship Tournament next weekend in Tyler, Texas. The tournament, which will field the top-8 teams, will be held from February 28-March 2 on the campus of the University of Texas-Tyler. Ozarks' seed will be determined following conference games Monday night.

Against Louisiana College (15-9, 13-8 ASC), the Lady Wildcats outscored Ozarks 46-27 in the second half behind a solid rebounding and defensive effort. Louisiana College outrebounded Ozarks 26-14 and forced 13 turnovers in the final 20 minutes of action. The Lady Eagles trailed by just eight points two minutes into the second half, but the Lady Wildcats reeled off a 13-0 run to take control of the game.
    
Tamara Wilkett and Jordana Andrews each had 11 points. Taylor Farmer scored 10 points.
