Farmer Posts Double-Double In Non-Conference Win

Clarksville, Ark.-Senior forward Taylor Farmer scored 17 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead the U of O women's basketball team to a 73-52 win over Crowley's Ridge College Monday night in non-conference play.

Ozarks (3-2) opened the game with a 23-4 run behind Farmer's six points and her teammates' four three-pointers. Guards Ashley Hipps and Jordana Andrews each hit two from beyond the arc to fuel the run. Crowley's Ridge (2-6) eventually got back into the game, but still trailed 33-23 at the half. However, the Lady Pioneers slowly chiseled away at the lead in the second half and tied it 40-40 at the 13:06 mark. Hipps then scored eight points over the next three minutes to put the Lady Eagles in front, 51-42. Her three-pointer with 9:08 remaining gave Ozarks a 56-42 lead. Hipps would go on and score 11 of her 17 points in the second half. She shot 4-of-8 from the three-point line. Brittanie Gragg would also score 11 points in the second half.
    
Farmer finished with three blocks and two steals. Tyler Adams pulled down 10 rebounds.

Ozarks will host American Southwest Conference opponents Texas-Dallas December 4 and Hardin-Simmons University December 6.
