Farmer’s 21 First Half Points Pace Lady Eagles To Road Win

Longview, Texas-Taylor Farmer scored 21 of her game-high 26 points in the first half to pace the Lady Eagles to a 75-63 win over LeTourneau University Friday in American Southwest Conference action.

Behind Farmer, the Lady Eagles (6-4, 3-3 ASC) hit 52 percent from the field in the first half to take control of the game. Famer hit 9-of-11 from the floor in the first twenty minutes of action. Farmer was unstoppable scoring inside baskets throughout the first half. Her bucket and free throw at the 8:47 mark put Ozarks in front 28-13. Ozarks led 49-29 at the half. LeTourneau (3-4, 1-3 ASC) made a run to open the second half, but Ozarks always answered to remain on top. LeTourneau cut it to 60-52 with six minutes left, but Jordana Andrews nailed a three-pointer to give Ozarks a double-digit lead.

Bryanna Moltz had 13 points, while Andrews scored 12 points. Farmer ended the game with nine rebounds.

Ozarks will host four straight home games beginning with Sul Ross State January 3.
