Lady Eagles Struggle From The Field In Loss

Clarksville, Ark.-The U of O women's basketball shot an uncharacteristic 24 percent from the field in a 71-61 loss against Sul Ross State University in American Southwest Conference action Saturday.
    
The Lady Eagles (6-5, 3-4 ASC) held a brief lead early in the game, but Sul Ross (3-7, 2-3 ASC) fought back to take a 26-23 halftime advantage. As Ozarks struggled from the field in the second half, Sul Ross built a 40-29 lead five minutes in. Sul Ross then had a 20-point lead with 7:54 remaining before the Lady Eagles made a run. Jordana Andrews hit back-to-back three-pointers to trim the deficit to 58-47. Bryanna Moltz hit a shot to pull Ozarks within 60-54, but the Lady Eagles wouldn't get any closer.
    
Ozarks launched 38 three-point shots in the game and made only seven of those (18%).

Moltz led Ozarks with 21 points and 13 rebounds. Andrews finished with 12 points.

Ozarks will host Howard Payne University January 5.
