LeTourneau Women Hold Off Lady Eagles

Clarksville, Ark.-LeTourneau University held off the Lady Eagles for a 86-66 victory Saturday in American Southwest Conference play.

The loss spoiled Ozarks' senior day and homecoming as LeTourneau (5-14, 3-11 ASC) kept the Lady Eagles (10-10, 6-9 ASC) from a second half comeback. Ozarks trailed 47-30 at halftime as it was outshot from the field by 20 percent.

In the game, LeTourneau put up 70 shots from the floor and collected 51 rebounds. Ozarks would pull down 38 boards in the game. Ozarks would also shoot an uncharacteristic 2-of-11 from the three-point line.

LeTourneau led in the second half by double digits most of the time, but Ozarks did cut it to nine points once. That came when Bryanna Moltz made an inside shot at the 6:51 mark.

Ashley Hipps led Ozarks with 18 points, while Moltz had 17.

Ozarks will travel to Brownwood, Texas, to face Howard Payne University February 5 and then to Alpine, Texas, to face Sul Ross State February 7.
