Brownwood, Texas-The Howard Payne University women pulled away late to pick up a 75-64 win over the Lady Eagles Thursday night in American Southwest Conference action play.
    
An Ashley Hipps' three-pointer got Ozarks (10-11, 6-10 ASC) within 56-52 with 4:58 remaining in the game, but Howard Payne (12-8, 9-6 ASC) scored ten points in two minutes while holding the Lady Eagles scoreless during that stretch to secure the game. 
    
Ozarks trailed only 34-32 at the half, with Bryanna Moltz drilling a trio of three-pointers and scoring 13 points.

Hipps finished with 16 points and three three-pointers.

Ozarks will travel to Alpine, Texas, to face Sul Ross State University February 7.
