Women’s Basketball Has Tough Shooting Night

Clarksville, Ark.-The women's basketball team had trouble overcoming a sluggish start in a 63-50 loss against East Texas Baptist University Thursday night in American Southwest Conference play.

Ozarks (9-11, 2-10 ASC) shot just 16 percent in the first half and trailed by 20 points late in the second quarter. The Eagles hit an uncharacteristic 1-of-15 from the three-point line. Ozarks did make a few runs to come within striking distance in the second half, but it only improved to 38 percent shooting from the field. ETBU is now 14-9 overall and 7-7 in league play.

Bryanna Moltz had 13 points, while Ashley Hipps added 11. Tyler Adams pulled down 11 rebounds.

Ozarks will host Louisiana College Saturday for Senior Day and Homecoming.
