Clarksville, Ark.-The women's basketball team started the 2016-2017 American Southwest Conference season in impressive fashion with a 77-66 win over Mary Hardin-Baylor Tuesday night.

Hailey Ostrander and Bryanna Moltz combined for 36 points and seven three-pointers to fuel the win. Ozarks (4-3, 1-0 ASC) trailed 38-34 at the half, but shot 66 percent in the third quarter and 57 percent in the fourth quarter to overcome the deficit. Ostrander would score 15 second half points and the Eagles' defense limited Mary Hardin-Baylor (4-2, 0-1 ASC) to 23 percent shooting from the field in the third quarter to establish the lead. Ozarks then outscored the visitors 20-14 in the fourth quarter.  

Ostrander finished with 20 points, hit 3-of-5 from long-range and dished out six assists. Moltz had 16 points. Diamond Goodwyn posted a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Ozarks will host Centenary College December 1.
