Women’s Basketball Team Has Tough Shooting Night
   

Brownwood, Texas – The women's basketball team struggled to make shots Thursday night against Howard Payne University in a 47-59 loss.

Ozarks (6-5, 2-2 ASC) was able to hold Howard Payne (7-4, 4-0 ASC) below their season scoring average, but couldn't connect on the offensive end, shooting just 34% from the field, 10% from behind the arc and 50% from the free throw line.

After the first quarter the Eagles trailed just 13-12. Howard Payne then went on to outscore Ozarks 18-7 in the second quarter of play.

Ozarks won the battle on the boards and outrebounded the Yellow Jackets 44-43 and were able to score 12 second chance points.

Bryanna Moltz led the team in scoring and rebounding with a double-double. Moltz scored 16 points and pulled down 13 rebounds.

Ozarks will travel to Alpine, Texas in an American Southwest Conference matchup against Sul Ross State University on December 17.
