Women’s Basketball Team Score Season-High 90 Points

Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks women's basketball team scored a season-high 90 points in a 90-71 American Southwest Conference win over McMurry University Saturday afternoon.

Hailey Ostrander drilled four three-pointers to lead Ozarks (7-7, 3-4 ASC) with 25 points. Bryanna Moltz followed with 21 points, and Delanei Stephens contributed 18 points. Ozarks shot 60 percent from the field in the game. Ostrander hit 10-of-14 from the field, including 4-of-8 from the three-point line. Her shot from long-range at the 4:05 mark of the third quarter gave Ozarks a lead it wouldn't relinquish. Ozarks had to overcome a 41-35 halftime deficit and the Eagles responded in the third quarter by outscoring McMurry 31-19. Ostrander had 10 points in the third, and Moltz added eight more. The Eagles went on to score 24 points in the fourth quarter while limiting McMurry (5-9, 1-5 ASC) to 11. Ozarks' defense held McMurry to 17 percent shooting from the field in the final quarter.

Ozarks will travel to Longview, Texas, to face LeTourneau University January 12.
