Balanced Scoring Leads Ozarks Women Past Louisiana College

Clarksville, Ark.-Six University of the Ozarks players reached double figures in a 88-82 win over Louisiana College in American Southwest Conference play Thursday night.

Bryanna Moltz scored 22 points to lead Ozarks (8-9, 4-6 ASC). Delanei Stephens posted a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Diamond Goodwyn had 13 points, while Kate Smith and Hailey Ostrander added 11 points. Rose Robinson finished with 10 points.

The Eagles jumped out to a 14-4 lead early in the game and held a 25-12 first quarter advantage. Ozarks then moved ahead 46-31 at intermission and held a 50-35 lead on Moltz's shot in the third quarter. The Eagles had a 70-54 lead early in the fourth quarter before Louisiana College (5-9, 4-4 ASC) made a run. The Wildcats climbed within 85-78 with two minutes left and then made it 85-80 with 47 seconds remaining. From that point, Moltz hit three of her four free throw attempts to secure the game.

Ozarks will host East Texas Baptist University Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
