Texas Dallas Women’s Basketball Uses Defense To Earn Win

Clarksville, Ark.-The Texas Dallas women's basketball team held the University of the Ozarks to nine first quarter points and seven second quarter points to fuel a 72-52 win Monday night in American Southwest Conference play.

The Comets' defense limited Ozarks to 17-of-59 (28%) from the field in the game. The Eagles (9-11, 4-8 ASC) did outscore the Comets (17-3, 11-1 ASC) in the third and fourth quarters, but it was too late. Ozarks made only two field goals in the second quarter.

Delanei Stephens led Ozarks with 14 points and Bryanna Moltz added 13.

Ozarks will travel to Mississippi to face Belhaven University February 2.
