Women’s Basketball Team Suffers Heart-Breaker In Final Game

Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks women's basketball team lost a 63-62 heart-breaker against LeTourneau University Saturday in its final game of the season.

Ozarks ends the season 10-15 overall and 5-11 in conference play.

The Eagles held a 17-11 first quarter lead, but trailed 32-30 at the half. Ozarks led on a pair of occasions in the fourth quarter but couldn't maintain the lead. Kate Smith scored inside as the buzzer sounded but couldn't draw a foul. Prior to that, the Eagles had a couple of chances to score with less than 20 seconds left but didn't connect.

Rose Robinson led Ozarks with 16 points.

Seniors Bryanna Moltz, Robinson and Sarah Scroggins were honored following the game as part of Senior Day.
