THE BASICS
University of Dallas held off the Eagles late in the game to edge Ozarks 60-56 Thursday night in non-conference play. Entering the fourth quarter, Ozarks trailed 46-39, but battled back to pull within 57-56 on Cassie Emerson's jumper with 40 seconds remaining. The Crusaders then sank three free throws and kept Ozarks off the board the rest of the way. The Eagles trailed 33-20 at halftime, but outscored the Crusaders 19-13 in the third quarter. Emerson finished with a team-best 19 points. Ozarks hit only 3-of-26 from the three-point line, while the Crusaders made just 1-of-14.
