THE BASICS
Marshall, Texas-East Texas Baptist University raced out to a 17-4 first quarter lead and never let Ozarks back into the game as the Tigers won 69-56 Saturday afternoon in American Southwest Conference play. The Eagles did respond with 20 points in the second quarter, but ETBU hit five three-pointers in the period  to make the score 37-24 at halftime. Ozarks warmed up in the third quarter hitting 46 percent from the field, but ETBU scored 21 points keep the advantage. Hailey Ostrander drilled four three-pointers to score 16 points. Destinee Manning had 11 points and 13 rebounds.
