THE BASICS
Clarksville, Ark.-Bacone College used a 21-of-25 (84%) performance from the free throw line and had 12 players in the scoring column in a 89-70 win over the Eagles Monday. The Warriors went 9-of-11 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter alone to keep Ozarks from taking the lead. Bacone led 40-30 at halftime, but Ozarks pulled within five points with less than two minutes remaining on Savannah Kate Smith's three-pointer. Bacone opened the second half with a 14 point lead within the first two minutes, but Hailey Ostrander took matters into her own hands and drilled back-to-back three-pointers to jumpstart a run. Ostrander hit her third shot from long-range in the quarter to bring Ozarks within 56-50 at the 2:28 mark. Ostrander would score 16 third quarter points to help Ozarks outscore the Warriors 23-19 in the quarter. However, Bacone extended its lead to 71-56 three minutes into the fourth quarter to take momentum of the game and the Eagles never recovered.
