The Basics:
The Eagles outshot the Patriots from the field and the free throw line, but still came up short as UT-Tyler slipped past Ozarks 76-69. Entering the fourth quarter, Ozarks trailed just 55-54 and hung tough against the Patriots. Ozarks would even the score 60-60 at the 6:38 mark on Roseanna Ezell's shot. But with a narrow 63-62 lead with less than five minutes to play, UT-Tyler reeled off a 7-0 run to take the game's momentum. A bucket and free throw by Destinee Manning brought the score to 73-69, but only 22 seconds remained in the game. UT-Tyler then hit 3-of-4 free throws to finish out the contest. Cassie Emerson led Ozarks with a career-high 22 points. She went 8-of-16 from the floor and pulled down eight rebounds.
