THE BASICS
A big second quarter by Webster University helped the home team take control of the game and end with a 71-48 win over the Eagles at the WU Tip-Off Classic Friday night. The Eagles did hold a 14-11 lead after the first quarter, but couldn't stop Webster over the next ten minutes. Webster ended the first half with a 40-20 advantage. From there, the Eagles had trouble climbing back into the game and trailed by more than 20 points most of that time. The Eagles committed 27 turnovers and made just one their 16 three-pointers. Kelsey Dixson hit 5-of-6 from the field to score 10 points. Dixson had a double-double as she pulled down 10 rebounds.
