THE BASICS
Nationally-ranked Mary Hardin-Baylor pulled away in the fourth quarter to hand the Eagles a 79-59 setback Thursday night in American Southwest Conference play. The Crusaders, ranked No. 5 in NCAA III, needed a fourth quarter burst to record its ninth win of the season. The Eagles wouldn't go down easily and remained in striking distance trailing 57-46 heading into the final quarter. The Crusaders hit 56 percent from the field in the fourth and ended the final four minutes with a 13-2 run. The Eagles shot a solid 90 percent from the free throw line but committed 22 turnovers. Kamryn McKinney led the team with 13 points.
