THE BASICS
The Eagles hung around in the second half but couldn't quite catch up as East Texas Baptist University took a 59-48 win Thursday night. The Tigers rolled to a 18-8 first quarter lead and then held a 33-21 advantage at halftime. In the fourth quarter, the Eagles fought back to within 51-41 with five minutes left. The Eagles cut the deficit to ten points on three more occasions in the fourth quarter, but couldn't get any closer. The Eagles held the Tigers to a 2-of-19 shooting clip from the three-point line. Kerigan Bradshaw led the Eagles with 11 points.
