THE BASICS
The Eagles let a 25-21 halftime lead slip away as Louisiana College came back to win 61-51 Thursday night. The Wildcats opened play with a 12-8 first quarter advantage, but the Eagles outscored the home team 17-9 in the second quarter. Louisiana College fought back to score 21 third quarter points to take the lead for good. The Eagles cut the deficit to three points with less than a minute to play in the game. However, the Wildcats  nailed seven straight free throws to secure the game. Janna Rhinehart drilled five three-pointers and scored 19 points.
