THE BASICS
A big third quarter by Belhaven University lifted the home team to a 84-69 win against the Eagles Saturday. Belhaven had to overcome a 37-31 halftime deficit as the Eagles shot 52 percent from the field in the second quarter. But in the third quarter, the Eagles made only 10 percent of its shots while Belhaven went on a 26-5 run during that ten minutes. Hannah Weatherford scored 14 points to lead the Eagles.
