2021-2022 Athletes of the Year Announced

Kerigan Bradshaw and Nathan Rankin won the Athletes of the Year award.

Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks Athletic Department held an Athletic Celebration Ceremony Tuesday night where numerous student-athletes were recognized, including the Female and Male Athlete of the Year.

The 2021-2022 Athletes of the Year were Kerigan Bradshaw and Nathan Rankin. 

Bradshaw, a senior member of the basketball team, led the team in scoring (13.0), assists (3.1) and steals (1.2). She scored in double figures in 15 games en route to earning Third Team All-Conference. In her career, she has been Academic All-District and ASC Player of the Week. She is a three-time All-Conference performer and was named to the Academic All-Conference Team three times. A chemistry major from Harrison, Arkansas, she finishes her career ranked among the program's top-25 in career assists (184) and scored 822 points and hit 60 three-pointers. She hit over 80 percent from the free throw line in her career. 

Rankin, a senior member of the wrestling and track team, wins an unprecedented fourth Athlete of the Year award at the University. A business administration major from Plano, Texas, Rankin was ranked among the NCAA's top-10 all season in the 125 pound weight class. During the 2021-22 season, he was the Pete Wilson Champion, Luther Open Champion, Citrus Invite Champion, Little Rock Open Champion, Star City Classic Champion and a Conference Finalist while leading the team in pins, team points, and match points. He capped his senior season as a NWCA Academic All-American. He was a second team NWCA All-American last season. He finished his career as a three-time conference champion, two-time national qualifier, four-time All-Region performer and two-time NWCA Academic All American. He posted 110 career wins, most in school history.

The ASC Scholar-Athlete Medal of Honor honors went to Bradshaw and baseball player Alex Ray.
