THE BASICS
Brownwood, Texas-The Eagles scored the game's first bucket and never trailed after that taking a 60-44 win over Howard Payne University Thursday night in Texas. Neither team shot well from the field, but the Eagles did own an advantage (33% to 29%). The Eagles did make 12-of-15 from the free throw line in the game and held a 26-20 halftime lead. Howard Payne closed the deficit on a couple of occasions in the third quarter but could never catch up. A layup by Reagen Markham with over five minutes left in the game gave the Eagles a solid 48-34 lead. McKenzie Greeson came off the bench to lead the Eagles with 13 points.
