THE BASICS
Belton, Texas – Mary Hardin-Baylor clamped down on defense holding the Eagles to a 23 percent shooting percentage from the field to take a 65-39 win on Saturday. The Crusaders led 31-19 at halftime. The Eagles would score 15 points in the third quarter, but the Crusaders held the Eagles to just five points in the fourth quarter to secure the game. Neither team shot the three-pointer well as the teams combined for just a 5-of-27 (18%) performance. Amanda Turpin led the Eagles with 11 points.
