Clay Target Team Wins Mississippi State Bulldog Open

Starkville, Miss.-The University of the Ozarks women's and men's clay target team won the Mississippi State University Bulldog Open over the weekend taking down much larger competitors along the way.

The Eagles continued their successful 2017-18 season by hitting 1268 out of 1500 clays to beat out Mississippi State and Murray State for the team HOA. The Eagles had three of the top-5 performers of the weekend as well. Bailey Wilson won the men's HOA hitting 268 out of 300 targets. Ashton Huffstutlar hit 264 of 300 targets to place third overall. Charles Priddy placed fifth overall hitting 225 of 300. The Bulldog Open consisted of five-stand, trap and skeet. Additionally, Huffstutlar won the five-stand competition hitting 82 out of 100.
