Clay Target Team Opens Season In Impressive Fashion

Clarksville, Ark.- The University of the Ozarks clay target team opened the 2023-24 season in impressive fashion winning every team and individual event at the Arkansas Collegiate Shooting Series in Lonoke September 9. 

The Eagles had four squads at the competition, with squad 1 scoring 1167 for first place. That team consisted of Corbin CooperMoudy StolzEthan FlemingAyden Pollock and Elijah Thorne. The men's HOA was Wyatt McCaghren with 261. Lane Klohn was second with 260. The women's HOA was Karlee McCaghren with 188. Kinley Cox was second with 186.

In the individual 16's, Lane Ward was the top shooter with 99. Cooper followed with 97. In the women's 16's, Spencer Warren placed first with 78. Karlee McCaghren was third with 71. In doubles, Klohn won the event with 84. Ayden Pollock was second at 82. In women's doubles, McCaghren was first with 57. Cox followed with 56. In the sporting competition, Wyatt McCaghren placed first with 89. Klohn followed with 80. Cox won the women's sporting event with 68. Karlee McCaghren followed with 60. 

The Eagles will host the U of O Homecoming Partner Shoot September 30 at the River Valley Sportsman Club Shooting Range.
