Wrestling Team Finishes Seventh In Central College Under Armour Invitational

Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks men's wrestling team finished seventh among 14 teams in the Central College Under Armour Invitational Saturday in Iowa.

Ozarks totaled 32 points at the Invitational, marking a major improvement from a year ago. The Eagles finished 12th last season at the event. Nationally ranked Central College won its own Invitational with 139 points.

Devon Jackson advanced to the finals of the 125-pound division, but lost 8-1 on a decision against Clarren Pestano from Central College. Jackson advanced to the finals after taking a 10-8 decision against Keegan Hessler from Morningside College. Corey Muniz was also victorious in the 125-pound spot. Ny'Trell Dean finished third in the 141-pound division winning several consecutive matches. Jameer Anderson won on a 8-1 decision against William Samuels from Graceland University in the 285-pound division.

Ozarks will travel to Northfield, Minnesota, to compete in the St. Olaf College Dual January 10.
