COACH GARDNER
"The qualification process in a tournament like this can be extremely exciting and heart-breaking. We had four seniors whose careers ended over the weekend. I want to thank Sergio for coming back his senior year after some injuries. Corey put in a lot of work and has been a stalwart over the last four years. Miguel put in four years of collegiate wrestling after coming from a high school program that doesn't produce wrestlers at this level. Jerhett had a tough weekend. He will learn and grow from this as a person. Overall, this is a tough tournament. We had young guys that got really good experience. We want our guys in this program to expect to do well at the regional and push for a spot at the podium on the national level."

"We are excited about Nathan's prospects. He performed really well. He put himself in a position to potentially get a good national seed. I look for him to make a run at the podium. He can be a national champion if he wrestles his best. The sky is the limit for him."
