The Eagles simply put on a show in their season-opener in front of an energized Mabee Gymnasium taking down Lyon College 56-0 Monday night. The Eagles' impressive win started with All-America Nathan Rankin at the 125-pound weight class. It didn't take long for Rankin to start the show as he ignited the crowd with his speed and quickness. Rankin would win by fall. At 133, Stephen Fox displayed his superior skills with the Eagles second win by fall. Jacob Dado had a strong performance in his debut at Ozarks with a fall. Jaylen York wrestled a familiar opponent from his home state of Texas and grinded out a victory by decision (13-10). With momentum behind the Eagles, Ndayambaje John won at 165 by tech fall. Daniel Benoit followed with a fall to cap a strong afternoon of wrestling by the Eagles.
