Eagles Set For NCAA III Lower Midwest Regional Championships

The University of the Ozarks men's wrestling team is set to compete in the 2023 NCAA Division III Lower Midwest Regional Championships Friday and Saturday (Feb. 24-25) in Springfield, Illinois.

Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks men's wrestling team is set to compete in the 2023 NCAA Division III Lower Midwest Regional Championships Friday and Saturday (Feb. 24-25) in Springfield, Illinois.

The tournament will be held at the BOS Center and Milliken University will serve as the host institution. The Lower Midwest Region includes 19 total schools. The top three spots in each weight class will earn automatic spots to the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships March 10-11 in Roanoke, Virginia.

"We are looking forward to seeing the guys compete," said head coach Vinny Barber. "We want them to wrestle for as long as it takes to get their hand raised. Our jobs as coaches are to allow them to go out and enjoy this opportunity. But at some point, you have to be a high level competitor. You have to tell yourself you are great and then go compete like it."
