Poteau, Okla.-The men's wrestling team gained valuable experience against tough competition at the Carl Albert College Viking Open on Saturday in Poteau, Oklahoma.
Numerous programs from across the region from all levels of the NCAA, NAIA and junior college gathered in Poteau for a day of top wrestling competition.
For the Eagles, posting two wins at the competition included Carter Taylor (133), Benjamin Beaty (141), Bradley McDaniel (149), James Johnson (157), Johnathon Ward (174) and Phillip Saenz Jr. (285).
"The guys did well again this weekend," said head coach Vinny Barber. "We saw some more areas we need to improve on and are grateful for that. This semester is about finding areas we are getting exposed in and working to fix them between now and March."
