Lady Eagles Hold 25-9 Shots Advantage, But Come Up Short

Walnut Ridge, Ark.-Despite holding a 25-9 shots advantage, the Lady Eagles came up short against Williams Baptist College falling 1-0 in women's soccer action on the road Tuesday.

The Lady Eagles (1-4-0) penetrated the Williams Baptist (1-3-0) defense the whole afternoon firing away 25 shots, including 17 in the second half. However, Williams Baptist scored the game-winner in the 15th minute to secure the match. Ozarks was particularly dangerous in the second half, recording 12 shots on goal to keep goalkeeper Abagail Bormann busy. Bormann delivered 12 of her 13 saves in the second half. Frances Adams finished with eight shots, with four of those on frame. Hannah Carter had three shots on goal, but also came up empty.

Ozarks will travel to Shreveport, La., to face Centenary College September 12 and Longview, Texas, to face LeTourneau University September 13 in non-conference action.
