  • Louisiana College Pulls Off Upset With Overtime Goal

    Clarksville, Ark.-Louisiana College pulled out an improbable 1-0 overtime win to spoil the Eagles playoff hopes Saturday. Molly Edelman took a free kick in the 106th minute, rebounded her own deflected shot and sent the ball into the back of the net to deflate an energetic Eagles' crowd. CJ Burns was nearly the hero as her header bounced off the post in the 85th minute. The Eagles outshot the Wildcats 11-8. Nine seniors - Olivia Allard, CJ Burns, Falon Hanson, Selena Haunty, Chance Koy, Sierra Lasher, Amber Taylor, Georgia Warren and Katherine Zamora - were honored prior to the match.
  • Belhaven Spoils Match With Tie

    Clarksville, Ark.-Belhaven spoiled the Eagles Thursday afternoon conference match by overcoming a 2-0 deficit and ending with a 2-2 tie. The Eagles wasted little time getting on the board as Skylar Brown netted a goal in the 3rd minute on a header off a corner kick from Rebecca Peterson. Madison Chaney followed with a goal in the 16th minute to give the Eagles a 2-0 advantage. Just when the Eagles appeared to be in control, Belhaven answered with a goal just seconds later. With the score 2-1 at halftime, Belhaven scored the equalizer in the 72nd minute. With neither team scoring after that, the match went into overtime where the Eagles had five shots. Belhaven had just one, but it hit the crossbar. The Eagles had a strong offensive attack all match with 22 shots and 17 shots on goal. The Eagles forced Belhaven into 15 saves. Peterson received both assists for the Eagles.
  • UT-Tyler Women's Soccer Team Takes Win
    October 20, 2018
    Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles put up a valiant defensive fight against UT-Tyler, but the Patriots broke through with a late first half goal and then scored twice more in the second half to seal a 3-0 non-conference victory. The Patriots fired off 14 shots in the first half, but the Eagles were able to limit goals scored. UT-Tyler scored in the 65th and 70th minute to put the match out of reach. Goalkeeper Kiara Henry recorded ten saves in the match.
  • LeTourneau Women's Soccer Team Scores Two Unanswered Goals In Win

    Longview, Texas-The Eagles scored the equalizer in the first half, but LeTourneau quickly answered and then scored another goal to earn the 3-1 win. The match went to the 89th minute and then was ended because of lightning. LeTourneau scored early, but Katherine Zamora scored to even the match 1-1 in the 34th minute. LeTourneau scored one minute later and added another goal five minutes later to take a 3-1 lead. The Eagles created 12 shots. Madison Chaney had three shots on goal.
  • Women's Soccer Team Nets Big 2-0 Win Over ETBU
    October 11, 2018
    The Eagles netted a goal in each half to take a big 2-0 conference win over East Texas Baptist University Thursday night. The Eagles did what it needed to do to start a two-match road trip, score when it had chances. Rebecca Peterson capitalized on an opportunity in the 20th minute to give the Eagles a 1-0 advantage. The Eagles didn't allow the Tigers to score the remainder of the half to keep the lead at 1-0. The Eagles produced another goal when Angelica Najera scored in the 77th minute. Kiara Henry posted the shutout in goal and had eight saves. It was the third shutout of the season for the Eagles.

  • Sul Ross State Women Score Late To Pick Up 2-0 Win

    Clarksville, Ark.-Just when it appeared the Eagles and Sul Ross State were headed to overtime, the visiting Lobos scored two late goals to upend the home team 2-0 Saturday. The Eagles created a number of scoring opportunities in the first half, recording five shots. After battling for 83 minutes, Sul Ross State finally broke through and scored a goal. The Lobos followed with another goal five minutes later to put the match out of reach.
  • Women's Soccer Edged By McMurry
    September 29, 2018
    Abilene, Texas-McMurry University won its first conference match of the season by scoring two goals in the second half and held off the Eagles when Madison Chaney scored in the 82nd minute for a 2-1 win. After a scoreless first half, McMurry recorded a goal in the 65th minute to take a 1-0 advantage. McMurry then added another goal in the 74th minute on a penalty kick, but the Eagles answered with a goal in the 82nd minute to trim the deficit to 2-1. Following the goal, the Eagles were unable to generate a shot. The Eagles had four corner kicks in the match and totaled seven shots. Kiara Henry had three saves in goal.
  • No. 9 Hardin-Simmons Tops Eagles 3-0
    September 27, 2018
    Abilene, Texas-The Eagles gave nationally ranked Hardin-Simmons a tough match Thursday night only to fall 3-0. The No. 9 ranked Cowgirls scored just before halftime to lead 1-0 and then opened the second half with an early goal to take a 2-0 advantage. The Eagles posted five shots, with three of those on frame. Goalkeeper Kiara Henry was busy throughout the match as she recorded 14 saves.
  • Women's Soccer Team Drops Hard Fought Match

    Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles gave Mary Hardin-Baylor all it wanted, but still came out with a 3-0 loss Saturday in league play. The Eagles fought off the Crusaders for most of the match and kept the score a 1-0 until late. Leading in the second half, the Crusaders scored in the 84th and 88th minutes to put the match out of reach. Goalkeeper Kiara Henry posted 13 saves for the Eagles.
  • Madison Chaney Records Hat Trick In Comeback Win
    September 20, 2018
    Clarksville, Ark.-Senior forward Madison Chaney spearheaded an outstanding win Thursday over Concordia University Texas by recording a hat trick. The Eagles trailed 1-0 at halftime, but Chaney provided an offensive punch to push the home team to a 3-1 conference win. Chaney and the Eagles turned up the pressure in the second half and generated three goals. Chaney's first score came in the 49th minute on an assist from Angelica Najera. Chaney raced down field and chipped it over goalkeeper Shelby Franco's head to even the score. Chaney's second goal was nearly identical as she chipped it again over Franco's head in the 58th minute. CJ Burns received the assist. With momentum in the Eagles' favor, Chaney blasted another goal in the 84th to secure the match and record the hat trick. In all, Chaney had four shots.
  • Eagles End Overtime Battle In 0-0 Tie

    Brownwood, Texas-Despite generating 26 shots and 15 shots on frame, the Eagles were unable to find the back of the net in a 0-0 tie against Howard Payne University in conference play. The powerful Eagles’ offense was on the attack all match. The Eagles had a trio of players with five shots – Skylar Brown, Falon Hanson, CJ Burns and Rebecca Peterson. All five of Peterson’s shots were on frame. The Eagles’ attack also included seven corner kicks. Additionally, the Eagles forced the Howard Payne goalkeeper make 15 saves. The first half swayed in Howard Payne's favor as they held the majority of the possession. The Eagles came out in the second half with determination and had several dangerous opportunities on goal as they held most of the possession. The first overtime went in the Eagles favor, forcing the keeper to make several key saves. In the second half, the Eagles held the Yellow Jackets and limited them to one shot on goal.
  • Women's Soccer Team Drops ASC Opener

    The Eagles opened the conference season against Texas Dallas Thursday night with a 2-0 setback. The Comets connected on a pair of goals in each half to take the home victory. The Comets scored in the 36th minute off a corner kick and then added another goal in the 60th minute. The Eagles allowed 29 shots in the match.
  • Women's Soccer Team Posts Shutout Against Westminster College

    Clarksville, Ark.-Freshman Camyren Antu's first collegiate goal couldn't have come at a better time as the Arlington, Texas, native scored the game-winning goal in the 25th minute to push the Eagles past Westminster College (Mo.) 1-0 Saturday afternoon in Clarksville. Antu ripped a shot past the Westminster goalkeeper to put the Eagles in a good position. The Eagles' defense then held off the Blue Jays the rest of the match to post a shutout. Not to be outdone, newcomer goalkeeper Brittany Lee-Smith filled in nicely for starter Kiara Henry as she recorded three saves in her first start at Ozarks. The Eagles blasted 11 shots in the match, with Skylar Brown owning three on goal.
  • Women's Soccer Team Drops Hendrix Match

    Clarksville, Ark.-The Hendrix College Warriors fought off a number of quality shots on goal from the Eagles to pick up a 2-0 win Thursday. Hendrix powered its way to seven shots in the first half, connecting on one in the 35th minute to lead 1-0. The Eagles countered with pressure on the attack and posted several shots that had equal opportunity to find the back of the net. In fact, CJ Burns hit the cross bar on a rocket shot that appeared to cross the goal line, but was not called a goal. Madison Chaney created offensive opportunities for the Eagles, but the Warrior defense kept the home team off the board. Hendrix scored again in the 74th minute.

  • Women's Soccer Team Dominates Regular Season Opener

    The Eagles opened the regular season in grand fashion scoring five goals while posting a shutout against MacMurray College Saturday. The Eagles held a 4-0 halftime lead as it dominated the visitors from Illinois. The Eagles were on the offensive attack and held possession of the ball most of the day. The home team had 17 shots in the first half alone. Skylar Brown quickly put the Eagles in front 1-0 with a goal in the third minute. The freshman rebounded a ball in the box and ripped past the keeper. Angelica Najera followed with a goal in the 11th minute and Joey Long scored in the 27th minute to put the Eagles ahead 3-0. Lara Wadle added another goal in the 34th minute to top off a dominant first half. Wadle chipped one in over the keeper's head. Finally, Amber Taylor connected on a shot in the 66th minute for a second half goal. In all, the Eagles accounted for 25 shots, while only allowing one shot.
