ASC Academic All-Conference Announced

Clarksville, Ark.- 97 University of the Ozarks student-athletes have been named to the 2021-22 Academic All-Conference Team by the American Southwest Conference, it was announced by the league office recently.
     
To be eligible for ASC Academic All-Conference honors, student-athletes must have been in attendance and completed at least one academic year (two consecutive semesters) at their institution. They must also have a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) after the spring semester.
     
The baseball team had 14 athletes on the team: Nicholas Bennett, a freshman accounting major from Little Elm, Texas; Zackary Brizendine, a senior chemistry major from Roanoke, Texas; Grant Cross, a freshman physical education major from Benton, Ark.; James Cross, a senior health science major from Sherman, Texas; Daniel Hicks, a sophomore psychology/religion major from Oologah, Okla.; Kagan Kennedy, a senior business administration major from Las Vegas, Nev.; Alex Ray, a senior business administration major from Franklin, Tenn.; Easton Rose, a senior Health Science major from Douglas, Ariz.; Connor Rowe, a junior health science major from North Richland Hills, Texas; Sam Silvestri, a junior health science major from Southlake, Texas; Chase Stephenson, a junior health science major from Mansfield, Texas; Rodny Valdes, a senior business administration major from Panama City, Panama; Trey Vance, a junior physical education major from Fayetteville, Ark.; and Garrett Waller, a freshman psychology major from Marion, Ark.     

The men's basketball team had four athletes on the team: Dawson Alt, a freshman physical education major from Pryor, Okla.; Jacob Dukes, a sophomore business administration major from Frisco, Texas; Elvis Janga, a junior psychology major from Subiaco, Ark.; and Matthew Kremers, a freshman physical education major from Scranton, Ark.

The women's basketball team had eight athletes: Kerigan Bradshaw, a senior chemistry major from Harrison, Ark.; Faith Curry, a junior health science major from Harbour Island, Bahamas; Morgan Douglas, a sophomore health science major from Clarksville, Ark.; McKenzie Greeson, a freshman health science major from Morrilton, Ark.; Kyra Hargrove, a freshman communication studies major from Perryville, Ark.; Chanel Kattich, a junior Psychology major from Cedarville, Ark.; Stevie Perkins, a senior psychology major from Wellston, Okla.; and Cambie Poole, a sophomore psychology major from Morristown, Ind.

The women's cross country team had four athletes on the team: Chloe Boyer, a sophomore psychology/sociology major from Snellville, Ga.; Alisone Guzman, a sophomore undeclared major from Lourdes Colon, El Salvador; Solena Martinez Aleman, a junior business administration/health science major from Leon, Nicaragua; and Marcela Valladares, a sophomore psychology/business administration major from Russellville, Ark.

The men's cross country team had three athletes on the team: Duban Figueroa, a freshman biology major from Fort Smith, Ark.; Misael Perez, a senior mathematics/psychology major from Clarksville, Ark.; and Benjamin Stormes, a sophomore biology/philosophy major from Fort Smith, Ark.

The men's soccer team placed 12 athletes on the team: Caleb Anderson, a sophomore accounting major from Broken Arrow, Okla.; Jean Claude Antoine, a junior business administration/health science major from Port-au-Prince, Haiti; Sebastien Bathard, a junior business administration major from Port-au-Prince, Haiti; Colin Cosby, a sophomore psychology major from Broken Arrow, Okla.; Truman Hensley, a junior health science/physical education major from Kansas City, Mo.; Steeve Louis, a junior business administration major from Port-au-Prince, Haiti; Lorfils Milord, a senior business administration major from Port-au-Prince, Haiti; Rigo Resendez, a senior health science major from Clarksville, Ark.; Charleus Emmanuel Ritch, a junior business administration major from Carrefour, Haiti; Jackson Rogers, a junior physical education major from Paris, Texas; Denzel Seguiera Chavez, a freshman undeclared major from Russellville, Ark.; and Alex Trinidad, a junior business administration/health science major from Westminster, Colo.

The women's soccer team placed 20 athletes on the team: Jessica Alvarado, a junior health science/business administration from Springdale, Ark.; Camyren Antu, a senior health science major from Arlington, Texas; Kailey Barnes, a junior physical education major from Roanoke, Texas; Skylar Brown, a senior health science major from Maumelle, Ark.; Bre Constable, a senior business administration major from Lee's Summit, Mo.; Kelsey David, a sophomore biology major from Cabot, Ark.; Breezie Davis, a senior accounting major from Coweta, Okla.; Sydney Frazier, a sophomore psychology major from Lake Dallas, Texas; Claudia Garcia, a sophomore elementary education major from Clarksville, Ark.; Jayden Glover, a junior biology major from Greenbrier, Ark.; Lilly Hill, a freshman psychology major from Conway, Ark.; Grace Houchin, a freshman health science major from Ardmore, Okla.; Alexandra Kasper, a freshman biology major from Poteau, Okla.; Abby Lewis, a sophomore health science major from Greenbrier, Ark.; Kaitlyn McMahan, a freshman biology major from Bentonville, Ark.; Madison Mockler, a junior business administration/accounting major from Allen, Texas; Faith Newgent, a junior chemistry major from Springdale, Ark.; Ellie Phillips, a junior psychology major from Sacramento, Calif.; Hannah Smith, a junior health science major from Schertz, Texas; and Vicky Villatoro, a junior health science/business administration major from Berryville, Ark.

The softball team had 13 athletes on the team: Aryonnah Briggs, a sophomore psychology/business administration major from Bryant, Ark.; Blaise English, a sophomore biology major from Clarksville, Ark.; Allyson Fultz, a sophomore biology major from Rogers, Ark.; Sierra Jasna, a senior biology major from Sallisaw, Okla.; Victoria Lopez, a junior biology/psychology major from Comanche, Texas; Mack Lucio, a freshman health science/psychology major from Bedford, Texas; Macy Pelts, a junior biology major from Lamar, Ark.; Reese Ramirez, a sophomore biology major from Cedar Park, Texas; Rayli Ruby, a sophomore biology major from Granbury, Texas; Winnie Sanchez, a freshman music major from Holly Lake Ranch, Texas; Codi Shannon, a junior accounting/business administration major from Ozark, Ark.; Kaylyn Soria, a sophomore accounting major from Angleton, Texas; and Sarah Todd, a junior English major from Mayflower, Ark.

The men's tennis team had four athletes on the team: Nico Castells, a junior business administration major from Barcelona, Spain; Theodoros Efstathopoulos, a freshman communication studies major from Athens, Greece; Griffin Huckelbury, a freshman undeclared major from Fort Smith, Ark.; Jan Puvill Fuertes, a freshman business administration major from Barcelona, Spain; and Kao Lenkopane, a freshman business administration major from Botswana, Africa.

The women's tennis team had seven athletes on the team: Skylar Frazier, a junior mathematics major from Pocahontas, Ark.; Jessica Gayle, a freshman biology major from Angleton, Texas; Annie Nelligan, a freshman undeclared major from Fort Smith, Ark.; Yadira Rodriguez, a freshman physical education/health science major from Kaufman, Texas; Anna Ryan, a senior business administration major from Woodville, Miss.; Emily Saniseng, a freshman chemistry major from Van Buren, Ark.; and Lea Terrell, a junior accounting major from Murfreesboro, Ark.

The men's track team had five athletes on the team: Colby Dorcely, a senior business administration/political science major from Petionville, Haiti; Duban Figueroa, a freshman biology major from Fort Smith, Ark.; Miguel Angel Quisiquina Saloj, a junior accounting major from Solola, Guatemala; Nathan Rankin, a senior business administration major from Plano, Texas; and Benjamin Stormes, a sophomore biology/philosophy major from Fort Smith, Ark.

The women's track team had six athletes on the team: Chloe Boyer, a sophomore psychology/sociology major from Snellville, Ga.; Mileidy Espinoza, a sophomore political science/psychology major from Santa Cruz, Costa Rica; Alisone Guzman, a sophomore undeclared major from Lourdes Colon, El Salvador; Solena Martinez Aleman, a senior business administration/health science major from Leon, Nicaragua; Almalila Ramirez, a senior psychology/communication studies major from Managua, Nicaragua; and Marcela Valladares, a sophomore psychology/business administration major from Russellville, Ark.

Student athletic trainers who made the team included Kaitlyn McMahan, a freshman biology major from Bentonville, Ark.; Hannah Smith, a junior health science major from Schertz, Texas; and Ethan Spillers, a freshman biology major from Scranton, Ark.
 
Sports information student assistants included Matthew Kremers, a freshman physical education major from Scranton, Ark.; Emerald McCourty, a junior biology major from Nassau, Bahamas; Austin Neumeier, a senior physical education major from Bigelow, Ark.; and Sade Seymour, a senior communication studies major from Nassau, Bahamas.
