    Clarksville, Ark. – Hardin-Simmons University scored a goal with under two minutes to play in the first half and then added four more goals in the second half to take a 5-0 win over the Eagles on Saturday. The Eagles end the season tied for the most wins in program history with eight and set a new shutout records with six. It was also the program’s second best season on record with a 8-8-1 overall mark. The Eagles’ defense played well in the first half keeping the Cowgirls out of the back of the net until the 43rd minute. Hardin-Simmons seemed to use that goal to ignite its offense in the final 45 minutes. The Cowgirls took 13 second half shots and scored in the 59th minute and then added a goal three minutes later to secure the match. 
  • McMurry Takes ASC Win Over Eagles

    Clarksville, Ark. – McMurry University scored two goals within the first 11 minutes of play to take momentum of the match and finish with a 4-1 win over the Eagles Thursday in conference play. Emily Holland recorded a hat trick for the War Hawks and came up with a goal in the seventh minute. Madison Black scored in the 11th minute and the War Hawks went into halftime with a 2-0 lead. Holland struck again in the 64th and 73rd minute for a 4-0 advantage. Halley Wheeler scored on a penalty kick in the 87th minute for the Eagles. The Eagles had a much stronger second half recording eight shots. McMurry took eight corner kicks to one for the Eagles in the match.
  • Eagles Set Shutout Record, Tie Win Record

    Marshall, Texas – The Eagles set a new program shutout record (6) and tied a program win record (8) while notching a big 2-0 win over East Texas Baptist University Saturday night in Texas. The play of the dynamic Savannah Solloway was evident throughout the match as she scored both goals for the Eagles. The Eagles built off a dominant first half that saw the hungry visitors own a 4-0 corner kicks advantage and a 7-4 shots advantage in the first 45 minutes. In the second half, Solloway did her damage as she netted a goal in the 66th minute for a 1-0 lead. Solloway then converted a penalty kick goal in the 74th minute to stun the Tigers. Meanwhile the Eagles’ defense fought off 11 second half shots and kept the shutout as goalkeeper Melanie Glossup recorded five of her six saves in the final 45 minutes. Glossup’s effort in goal proved historic as the Eagles set the shutout record. Glossup now has four shutouts on the year. Solloway now has seven goals on the season. Solloway had five shots on goal and Alex Kasper had four shots on goal.
  • Eagles Net Conference Tie

    Longview, Texas – The Eagles got much needed points after notching a 1-1 tie against LeTourneau University Thursday night in Texas. The Eagles started the match strong with an early goal from Angelina Lotz. Lotz scored just 2:39 into the match off a corner kick. Cassidy Hughes received the assist. The lead wouldn’t last long though as LeTourneau scored the equalizer in the 26th minute. After that, the Eagles took four more shots in the first half. The Eagles had another productive half in the final 45 minutes recording seven shots. In the match, the Eagles owned a 13-6 shots advantage. Alex Kasper led the Eagles with three shots. 
  • Concordia University Texas Edges Eagles In Soccer

    Round Rock, Texas – Concordia University Texas edged the Eagles 1-0 behind a game-winning goal in the 40th minute from Kaley Kasper on Saturday in Round Rock, Texas. Concordia had a strong first half taking 23 shots with 11 of those on frame. The Eagles took three shots in the first half with two of those on frame. Trailing 1-0 at the half, the Eagles took five shots while limiting Concordia to six in the final 45 minutes. The Eagles recorded three shots on goal in the second half. The Eagles also owned a 3-0 corner kicks advantage in the second half. Goalkeeper Melanie Glossup had eight saves in the match. 
  • No. 15 Mary Hardin-Baylor Takes 3-0 Win
    October 12, 2023
    Belton, Texas - No.15 Mary Hardin-Baylor broke open a scoreless first half and scored three goals in the second half to take a 3-0 win over the Eagles Thursday night in Texas. The Eagles fought off 12 first half shots to keep the match scoreless through 45 minutes. However, the Crusaders were too much in the second half taking 22 shots and mounting six corner kicks. The Crusaders took advantage of those shots and scored in the 57th minute to own a 1-0 lead. The Crusaders then scored in the 76th minute and the 79th minute. The Crusaders created 34 shots in the match.
  • Comets Net Win Over Eagles

    Richardson, Texas-Texas-Dallas turned a scoreless first half into a 3-0 conference win over the Eagles on Saturday night. The two teams couldn’t score in the first half, but the Comets turned up their offensive attack in the second half with 17 shots. The Comets scored early in the second half to hold a 1-0 lead and later got a goal in the 75th minute. The Comets added another goal with just seconds remaining for the third goal. The Comets totaled 23 shots in the match. 
  • Eagles Open ASC Play With Home Loss
    September 30, 2023
    Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles scored early in the match but couldn’t slow down Howard Payne after that as the Yellow Jackets spoiled Senior Day with a 4-1 win in the conference-opener. Beth Markovich ripped a goal in the seventh minute to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead. The goal resulted from a strong and energetic first half from the Eagles and it showed with five shots. Howard Payne tied the match in the 12th minute and the match went into halftime at 1-1. Howard Payne found success in the second half scoring two goals within a four-minute span to lead 3-1. Howard Payne would later add a goal in the 77th minute. Howard Payne recorded nine shots in the second half while the Eagles had three.
  • Eagles' Speed Produces 3-1 Win Against Sul Ross

    Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles won their seventh match of the season with a solid 3-1 win over Sul Ross State University Thursday afternoon. The Eagles finally begin conference play against Howard Payne University September 30. Senior Day will follow the match against Howard Payne, which is slated for 2:00 p.m. Against Sul Ross, the Eagles gave up a goal in the 19th minute as the Lobos possessed the ball early on. However, things changed when the Eagles got a goal just before halftime from Allieysia Jiles. It was the freshman’s first collegiate goal. The Eagles used that momentum in the second half to establish control of the match behind a speedy attack. In the 66th minute, Alex Kasper ripped a ball past the Sul Ross goalkeeper to make it 2-1. Just minutes later, Taliana Schmidt chipped one in over the keeper’s head to give the Eagles a firm 3-1 lead. Both teams produced nine shots. Kasper had two shots on goal.

  • Schmidt Nets Game-Winner To Win Thriller

    Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles posted a thrilling 2-1 win over Southwestern Christian University Friday afternoon on a game-winning goal from Taliana Schmidt with less than one minute to play. Schmidt’s highlight reel goal was set up on a beautiful ball from Nadia Martinez into the box. Schmidt headed the ball into the back of the net with 50 seconds remaining to send her teammates into a celebration. The Eagles got another goal off a header in the first half to lead 1-0 at halftime. This time, Halley Wheeler took a free kick and launched it toward Savannah Solloway, who finished it with a header past the keeper in the 13th minute. Southwestern Christian scored the equalizer in the 61st minute. The Eagles’ win was extra sweet as they rebounded from a heart-breaking loss against Hendrix College earlier in the week. 
  • Hendrix Edges Eagles 1-0 In Hard Fought Rivalry Battle

    Clarksville, Ark.-In a match that could have gone either way, Hendrix College managed a goal in the 71st minute to edge the Eagles 1-0 Wednesday. The hard-fought battle was back-and-forth the whole game with both teams creating scoring chances. The Eagles controlled the first half taking four shots and limiting Hendrix to just one. The Eagles continued to create scoring opportunities in the second half as Mason Faucher had a quality shot followed by another shot from Taliana Schmidt in the 55th minute. About seven minutes later Schmidt had a shot in front of the goal, but Hendrix goalkeeper Lewis Kennedy was in the right place at the right time to record a save. The Eagles remained on the attack the rest of the match but couldn’t connect on a goal. The Eagles owned a 12-5 shots advantage in the game and a 5-2 corner kicks advantage. The Eagles forced Kennedy into making five saves.

    Clarksville, Ark.- University of the Ozarks junior goalkeeper Melanie Glossup was named the American Southwest Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the conference office Monday, September 18.         
  • Eagles Off To Best Start In Program History

    Sherman, Texas.-The Eagles are off to the best start in school history after a 1-0 win against Austin College Saturday in Texas. The Eagles are now 5-1-0 overall after the non-conference win. The game was scoreless at the half even though the two teams combined for 14 shots. Eventually in the second half, the Eagles got the clutch game-winning goal from Savannah Solloway. Solloway’s goal came in the 83rd minute. Melanie Glossup had a strong game in goal with seven saves. The Eagles owned a 5-1 corner kicks advantage, with all five coming in the second half. The Eagles totaled 15 shots in the game with Taliana Schmidt recording four of her own. 
  • Eagles Notch Fourth Shutout In Win

    Irving, Texas.-The Eagles won their fourth game of the season to improve to 4-1-0 while notching another shutout in Friday night’s 2-0 win over University of Dallas. The Eagles have shutout four of their five opponents. After a scoreless first half, the Eagles broke into the scoring column when Lilly Hill scored in the 56th minute on an assist from Mason Faucher. Holding a 1-0 lead, the Eagles were awarded a penalty kick in the 78th minute. Savannah Solloway calmy buried the shot for her third goal of the young season. The Eagles owned a 11-5 shots advantage in the match. Melanie Glossup notched the shutout in goal behind two saves. Taliana Schmidt had a team-best four shots.
  • Rhodes Hands Eagles First Loss

    Memphis, Tenn.-The Eagles suffered their first loss of the 2023 season after Rhodes College took a 3-1 win Sunday in Memphis. Rhodes had a strong first half taking 13 shots while scoring twice. The first goal came in the 18th minute. A second goal came in the 24th minute. Rhodes would lead 3-0 before the Eagles scored. Beth Markovich found the back of the net in the 89th minute.

    Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks will begin construction in October on a new $10.75 million athletic complex that will include new fields for baseball, softball and soccer, University officials announced this week.
  • Eagles Win Third Straight; Schmidt Scores Twice

    Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles exploded for four second half goals en route to a 5-0 win over Lyon College Wednesday night. The Eagles controlled the match from the start and possessed the ball for most of the match to notch their third straight win. Lilly Hill would score in front of the goal to make it 1-0 in the 13th minute. The Eagles played even stronger in the second half recording nine shots. Mason Faucher scored in the 53rd minute to give the Eagles a 2-0 lead. Taliana Schmidt scored back-to-back goals in the 69th and 74th minutes. Diana Ramos scored on a free kick from 20 yards out in the 89th minute for the final goal. Melanie Glossup notched the shutout in 90 minutes of action. Lyon only threatened a couple of times, but Glossup was there to keep the Scots scoreless. 
  • Eagles Post 3-0 Win Over Westminster

    Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles continued to win in 2023 posting a 3-0 victory over Westminster College on Sunday. It is the second consecutive shutout for the Eagles. All three of the Eagles’ goals came in the first half. Lilly Hill had a beautiful goal from 25 yards out blasting one past the Westminster goalkeeper in the 25th minute. Savannah Solloway created pressure throughout the match and easily put one in the back of the net in the 34th minute. Catherine Acosta buried a shot just minutes later to all but secure the match early on. With momentum on their side, the Eagles kept the shutout intact with a solid defensive effort in the second half.  
  • Solloway Nets Game-Winner In Season-Opener

    Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles' strong attack eventually broke through the Centenary College defense to net a goal in the 78th minute to pull out a 1-0 in the 2023 season-opener. The Eagles dominated Saturday's shutout win owning a 11-2 shots advantage and a 7-1 corner kick advantage. After recording numerous shots on goal in the match, Savannah Solloway took a pass from Taliana Schmidt and buried the ball in the back of the net. Solloway's game-winner easily went past Centenary goalkeeper Madison Ersoff. Alex Kasper led the team with four shots, all of which were on frame. The Eagles' offensive attack forced Ersoff to make nine saves in the match. Melanie Glossup and Kendal Wells split time in goal for the Eagles.

    Today we traveled from Lyon to Paris. Following lunch, we took the metro to Parc des Princes Stadium, the home to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). It was a self-guided tour, but it was still a unique place. Getting to see the field was amazing. The stadium was huge and just breathtaking.

    Today the men played a game against La Duchére Academy club. The result was a 2-1 loss, but Senior Kyle Seymour answered for the Eagles.  
  • France Day Five - Exploring Like A Local

    Today was adventure day - we went to the open market and saw local pastries on one side of the river and a craft market on the other side of the river. We were able to see local artwork and handmade jewelry.
