Wade Smashes One-Mile Record

Rosie Wade smashes one-mile record.

Clarksville, Ark.--Freshman Rosie Wade smashed the program one-mile record Saturday against Hendrix College.

Wade swam a 18:54.67 in front of the home crowd, smashing the previous mark of 21:19.42. In the 200 free, Shalley Coffin posted a time of 2:20.54 for fourth place. Skylar Frazier followed with a time of 2:23.24 for fifth place. In the 50 free, Catherine Wellborn swam a 28.45 for fifth place. Autumn King was next with a 32.68 and Skylar Epperson placed seventh with a time of 42.75. In the 100 free, Wellborn was second with a 1:04.48. Epperson was sixth with a 1:38.12. In the 100 backstroke, Wade placed second with a time of 1:07.53. In the 500 free, Coffin posted a time of 6:07.67 for third place. In the 100 breaststroke, Frazier was third swimming a 1:21.49. King was sixth with a time of 1:32.94. In the 200 freestyle relay, the team of Wellborn, Frazier, Coffin and Wade posted a time of 1:54.18.
